No Reino Unido os singles logo que são lançados entram em competição de vendas. Os mais vendidos ficam no topo e são chamados de ‘Number Ones’. São músicas de sucesso. Da mesma forma acontecem com os álbuns, que também entram em competição quando são lançados lá.

Uma banda iniciada em 2003 chega a 2008 com um sucesso estrondoso, 5 cd’s lançados, um saindo do forno e 7 number one’s atingidos.

Em homenagem a Marty McFLY do filme De Volta para o Futuro, formou-se a banda britânica a ganhar o Brit Awards por ‘Best Pop Act’ em 2005 ao começar sua própria turnê. Formada por quatro meninos talentosos - Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter e Harry Judd - e ‘bem apanhados’ a banda McFly arrasta uma legião de fãns por onde passa, podendo, inclusive, dar o ar da graça aqui no Brasil em breve. O último single lançado em 2007 pelos meninos - o The Heart Never Lies - atingiu, novamente, as paradas britânicas além de dar a Tom Fletcher um dos maiores títulos de sua carreira: ser o maior compositor de hits número um do Reino Unido, mais do Michael Jackson e George Michael.
Além de elouquecer meninas pelos quatro cantos do Mundo, apoiar campanhas sociais e entrar para o livro dos recordes, em seu currículo o McFLY têm apresentações com diversos personagens como Brian May (Queen) e Roger Daltrey (The Who); voaram com Rod Stewart no seu jato particular e conheceram o Queen, participando do especial para Freddie Mercury depois de lançar como single um cover de ‘Dont Stop Me Now’. Atualmente os meninos se preparam para mais um sucesso divulgando o novo cd (agora independentes, com gravadora própria), esperado por milhares de fãns, o ‘Radio:ACTIVE’.
